Hi Guys,
MMA heavyweight Brett Rogers has been arrested for assault. Apparently he was arrested for more then one charge in connection with assault of his wife. Reports say that his wife was strangled and punched in the head repeatedly. Rogers will be in court in Friday over the charges. Brett was last seen in action at the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix where he was defeated by Josh Barnett.

More news on Nate Marquardt
Hi guys,
It has now been revealed that Nate Marquardt was banned due to using a testosterone supplement. His doctor had issued recommended the substance due to a low testosterone level. Apparently it should not have effected him being able to compete in the event and was described as bad timing that led to him testing positive to illegal substances. In my opinion the use of illegal substances to aid with training in general and training camps etc is not acceptable. It is not fair to the fighters opponent and is not a true reflection of the work that the fighter has put into preparing for the fight because it has been aided and supplemented by a substance that is not legal in the sport.

Nate Marquardt Cut From The UFC!
Hey guys,
Just a quick update for you. UFC fighter Nate "The Great" Marquardt has been fired by UFC president Dana white. Nate apparently failed his medical on the day of the weigh-ins which was held the day before his fight in the main event of UFC on Versus 4 against Rick Story. Not much more is known about the exact reason or reasons why Nate has been cut. Information is very limited and I will let you know as soon as I know more about it. For now I can tell you that Marquardt has been replaced at the last minute by Charlie Brenneman and the Pat Barry vs. Cheick Kongo fight has been pushed up as the main fight of the night. UFC on Versus 4 is going to be a great event regardless and I am really looking forward to it!

MMA News: Kendall Grove released from the UFC
Hey Guys,
MMA fighter Kendall Grove has been released from the UFC after two consecutive loses. Grove had one loss to Demian Maia and the other to Tim Boetsch. The Ultimate Fighter 3 winner apparently broke the news on his Facebook page. Kendall is not the only TUF winner to be released by the UFC as Travis Lutter and Efrain Escudero were also cut by the company.

UFC 131 post fight analysis
Hey Guys,
UFC 131 was a great event. I think you will all agree there were some great fights on the night. One of my favorite fights was the Maia vs Munoz fight. I really do think the judges made the right decision and Munoz definitely deserved the win. It was strange as Maia switched his game up and showed more dominant stand-up and Munoz seemed to have the advantage over Maia in the ground department. Another notable victory was in the Stout vs Edward fight where Sam Stout gave the fans a highlight reel knockout to remember. Kenny Florian looked great in his fight against Diego Nunes in which he dominated for most of the fight showing his superior ground game and all round experience. A great fight for the fans of the heavy hitters was the Einemo vs Herman fight. I really liked Herman in this fight and I think we will see some more great fights to come from this guy who scored the knockout win over Einemo. Donald Cerrone basically put on a Muay Thai clinic against Vagner Rocha. His leg kicks were devastating and really ended up being the deciding factor in the victory. The main event was the perfect end to a great night of fights with Dos Santos picking up the win over a bloody Shane Carwin. Junior handled Carwin pretty easily with the only real threat from Carwin coming from the power we all know he has to end fights with a single punch. That never came into play and once the fight was finished carwin's face looked like something out of a horror film. I am not sure how Dos Santos will fare against the likes of Cain but I am sure it will be a great fight. Dos Santos will be around for a long time regardless.

UFC 131 Fight Predictions
Ok, here it is guys. These are my predictions for UFC 131....
Joey Beltran Vs Aaron Rosa - I see Beltran taking this fight by TKO.
Dustin Poirier Vs Jason Young - I think Poirier will win this fight by submission.
Nick Ring Vs James Head - I see Nick Ring winning by TKO.
Krzysztof Soszynski Vs Mike Massenzio - Soszynski to win by TKO.
Jesse Bongfeldt Vs Chris Weidman - Weidman to win by decision.
Sam Stout Vs Yves Edwards - Edwards to win by decision.
Donald Cerrone Vs Vagner Rocha - Cerrone to win by submission.
Demian Maia Vs Mark Munoz - I reckon Munoz will win by TKO.
John-Olav Einemo Vs Dave Herman - Herman to win by decision.

The Countdown to UFC 131: Dos Santos Vs Carwin
Hi guys,
UFC 131 is nearly upon us and boy am I excited! This event is set to be explosive! If you didn't already know the card is headlined by heavyweight contenders Junior Dos Santos and Shane Carwin . Both fighters look in great shape. I managed to watch a few of Carwins training videos on the internet and he has completely changed his diet since his loss to Brock Lesnar. He has stripped a lot of body fat which will make him even more of a dangerous fighter. His knockout power alone has the ability to end fights, so this in combination with a healthier and more agile Shane Carwin will be very interesting to watch. Junior Dos Santos is also a great fighter and is on a very good run in the UFC. The 27 year old Brazilian is set for big things in the world of MMA so I can't wait to see these two heavyweights go at it!

This is the first ever MMA review post! I will start by introducing myself...my name is Jay Cee, I am a 24 year old male and I love MMA. I am the author of this blog and I hope that you really enjoy the content to come. In this blog I will be talking about everything and anything to do with MMA. The Events, fighters, clothes, news, games...etc you name it, I will talk about it. lol. I will do my best to let you know about anything interesting within the MMA world and I will give you my views on current news and movements within the mixed martial arts universe.
